Step 4 of 9

Fill in 'Waste movement level'

This tab describes the delivery itself — one row per load.

What to do

  1. Look along the bottom of the Excel window. You will see a row of small tabs, such as 1_Guidance and 2_Data definitions.
  2. Click the tab named 7_Waste movement level. It becomes the sheet you can see.
  3. Fill in one row for this delivery, working from left to right.

Fields coloured red are marked Mandatory. You must fill in every one of them.

Take it in small pieces

  • Your unique reference for the delivery. This is your own reference for this load. Keep it simple, for example your delivery note number. Write it down — you need exactly the same reference on the next tab.
  • When and where the waste arrived. Take the date and time from the delivery paperwork or the weighbridge ticket, and the receiving site from your own records.
  • Who brought it. The carrier's details and their registration, and the vehicle registration, come from the delivery paperwork.
  • Where it came from. The producer or previous holder, again from the paperwork in front of you.

Use the exact field names printed in the spreadsheet you downloaded. Do not rely on column letters — they can differ between versions of the template.

Where to check what a field means

Click the tab 2_Data definitions at the bottom. It explains every field. Click 7_Waste movement level to come back.

If you do not know an answer

Leave it blank for now and ask the site's responsible person. Never invent a value.

What should happen

You have one complete row on 7_Waste movement level, and your unique delivery reference written down.
