Check every red and conditional field
Five minutes of checking now saves a rejected upload later.
What to do
- Go back to 7_Waste movement level. Read along your row. Every red Mandatory field must be filled in.
- Do the same on 8_Waste item level.
- Check the Conditional mandatory fields. These only apply because of an answer you have already given. For example, if you said the waste is hazardous, you must also give the hazardous waste details, such as the consignment code.
- Check the delivery reference is identical on both tabs.
Using a drop-down
Click the cell. A small arrow appears on its right-hand edge. Click the arrow and click the option you want. If the list does not accept what you type, the value is not allowed — pick from the list instead.
Never do these
- Do not change any formatting or colours
- Do not copy the data onto a blank spreadsheet
- Do not overwrite or rebuild the template
- Do not insert comments
More than one delivery
You can add several movements to the same spreadsheet for the same organisation, including movements for different sites belonging to that organisation. Add another row on each tab, with its own unique delivery reference.
Once you have submitted the file, start a fresh template for the next submission. A different organisation always needs its own separate file.
What should happen
No red field is empty, and the spreadsheet looks exactly as it did when you downloaded it.
